The soundtrack to Tyler Perry's extremely successful film Diary of a Mad Black Woman is, fittingly, an all-female affair, with songs that fall perfectly in line with the movie's subject matter. Perry and Dallas Austin were involved in the songwriting and production of much of the material, which only helps maintain a consistency that nearly every soundtrack for a major film lacks. So, unsurprisingly, it will really appeal to the same demographic that identifies most with the film's female characters.
