CHICAGO -- McDonald's announced Thursday it is the exclusive sponsor of this summer's New Kids on the Block concert tour.
'They're exciting, fresh and talented and they present a positive image to youth,' said David Green, McDonald's senior vice president of marketing.
New Kids is a perfect vehicle to reach teens and young adults.'
The 46-city, 61-day 'Magic Summer Tour' begins June 23 in Lake Placid, N.Y. and ends Sept. 15 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
The staging design for the sold out tour is one of the most elaborate in concert history, the group's manager, Dick Scott said.
Special illusions developed by magician Harry Blackstone and helium balloons ranging up to 60 feet in diameter will be featured, he said.
McDonald's is planning restaurant promotions at every stop on the tour, including ticket giveaways, New Kids action posters and drinks in special New Kids cups.
New Kids on the Block will also provide special concert seats to children at Ronald McDonald Houses, homes for families of seriously ill children.
